Position Singing for Good - Helping Others Through Song
Impact Statement Music can be a powerful force for good. You can help lift the spirits of those who are struggling, by singing with us. The Our Place OutReach Singers provide live music each week at local soup kitchens, homeless shelters, extended care homes and community events raising funds for those in need. Our up-tempo arrangements of musical favourites bring smiles and hope where they are really needed.
Description Singing each Tuesday around lunch time in different venues in Victoria (i.e. the Our Place street shelter, Mustard Seed Food Bank, Mt. St. Mary Hospital, Rainbow Kitchen, etc.)
Training Details No previous experience singing in public required. It helps if you can sing in tune. Regular commitment desired along with a love music and people.
Working Conditions Singing in sometimes challenging venues and conditions for people who are struggling in many different ways. Performing with us is not glamorous and you will not become famous. You can however bring joy to others who don't get to experience that a lot.
