Volunteer Victoria and the City of Victoria invite youth who live, work, or attend school in to join the Youth Advisory Council and have fun while making a difference.
Description
The Council is made up of youth between the ages of 14 and 25 years old who gather for a few hours each month (in person and/or online) to create, lead, and manage projects and activities in the City of Victoria. Think everything from having a say about the City's new website to sharing ideas about safe youth spaces.
Training Details
Lots of opportunities to learn about the City of Victoria, and how we can include youth voices in inclusion and diversity, city planning, budgeting, and strategic thinking.
Working Conditions
Volunteer with a group of peers who meet online or in person.
We ask for a commitment of up to 10 hours per month. The committee typically meets on Wednesday evenings for a couple of hours online or in person and participates in events and activities on other days as schedules allow.
