. Climbing volunteers will provide social and moral support to participants, group management in a public space, and tying in and belaying participants. -------------------------- |

Training Details |
-------------------------- New volunteers will attend an orientation session and complete online modules to learn about our approaches to delivering adaptive recreation activities. All volunteers will be required to pass a belay test conducted by the climbing gym staff prior to supporting a program, as well as sign the climbing gym's waiver. Belay training is available for volunteers in late September. -------------------------- |
Working Conditions |
This role will support climbing programs taking place in an indoor climbing gym. Volunteers must have experience Top Rope belaying in a climbing gym with a Gri-Gri. All volunteers will be required to pass a belay test conducted by the climbing gym staff prior to supporting a program, as well as sign the climbing gym's waiver. . -------------------------- |

. Climbing activities take place on Thursday evenings. Volunteers can assist us from 4pm to 6pm and/or 6pm to 8pm. Climbing programs primarily run in October and February. . |
