Position Boat Support / Ambassador - Classic Boat Festival

Description Be part of the 2025 Classic Boat Festival! Each Labour Day weekend, we feature over 100 classic boats at Victoria Inner Harbour and host activities and races.

This role:

• Assists boat owners who are showcasing their boat to the public
• Helping attendees on and off the boats as needed

Volunteers may be involved in tasks including but not limited to:

• Offer an arm to help people step on and off the boats from the docks
• Hold people at the docks while the boat owner is giving a tour to another group
• Answer questions from attendees
• The first and last shift of the day will include some assistance with set-up and take-down duties.
Training Details • General Orientation to the Classic Boat Festival provided.
• We will also provide role-Specific orientation and training.
Working Conditions Outdoors rain or shine. Standing and walking on docked boats & concrete for duration of shift at Victoria's Inner Harbour.
Minimum Duration 3 months or less
Timing Weekday - Daytime, Weekend - Daytime
Time Detail The Classic Boat Festival happens Labour Day Weekend, August 29-August 31.

Shifts are 4 hours long.
• 8am-12pm
• 12-4pm
• 4-8:30pm*
*The festival closes at 6pm on Sunday.
