Position Set Up Volunteer - Classic Boat Festival

Description Be part of the 2025 Classic Boat Festival! Each Labour Day weekend, we feature over 100 classic boats at Victoria Inner Harbour and host activities and races.

This role:

• Transports equipment and materials from the Maritime Museum of BC to the Inner Harbour in advance of the Classic Boat Festival
• Support the Festival by ensuring all equipment is delivered the day before opening

Volunteers may be involved in tasks including but not limited to:

• Carrying boxes from the MMBC to Victoria Inner Harbour (400m)
• Pulling carts loaded with equipment from the MMBC to the Inner Harbour
• Packing and unpacking boxes of CBF equipment
• Set Up Volunteers may also be asked to help with boater registration at the Inner Harbour as needed
Training Details • General Orientation to the Classic Boat Festival provided.
• Role-Specific Orientation and training.
Working Conditions Outdoors walking between the Maritime Museum of BC and the Inner Harbour carrying and/or pulling/pushing equipment.
Minimum Duration 3 months or less
Timing Weekday - Daytime
Time Detail Thursday, August 28, 2-4pm.
