Description |
Victoria Symphony is taking its popular “Instrument Petting Zoo” to community fairs and festivals around Greater Victoria June-September. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to guide children as they try instruments for the first time. Instruments offered are violin, cello, and brass --woodwinds may also be considered. The instruments are provided by Long and McQuade. We are looking for volunteers between ages 12-29 who are experienced in one or more orchestral instrument, and enjoy working with children. |
Training Details | Volunteers will be given written instructions beforehand, and in-person guidance before the event start. |
Working Conditions | Volunteers are working outdoors at community events. Shade and chairs are provided. In the case of heavy rain, events will be cancelled. A supervisor will be present at all times. |
