| Impact Statement | Memory Café Victoria is a music and arts based social program for people living with memory loss and their care partners. At memory cafes, people with memory loss and their care partners participate in activities led by musicians and artists that focus on creativity and imagination. People who are forgetting should not be forgotten. We simply can’t do it without volunteers. |
| Description |
Memory Café volunteers should be kind and caring when helping to support the participation of café members in a range of arts, music and other activities. The role includes: · Helping to set up the café beforehand including moving chairs and tables · Welcoming people as they arrive · Providing refreshments, teas, coffee, etc · Talking and supporting people while they are taking part in group activities · Helping to run and support session activities · Helping to clear away after the session |
| Training Details | Orientation will be provided. |
| Working Conditions | You will be working in a recreation centre with a facilitator and guest artists to support 7 couples. Ideally there are 2-3 volunteers each week. |
