We are looking for active individuals that enjoy running or walking to join our Victoria Marathon Team and help us fundraise. Through this event we hope to fully fund. This program is fun-filled, and a great entry point for new musicians looking to learn an accessible instrument. |
| Description |
Friends of Music Society is official charity in the Royal Victoria Marathon, for the second year running! This event provides us with an incredible opportunity to showcase the talent of our musicians, and as well as to raise funds and awareness for our charity. We are looking for individuals who love to run, walk, who can collect pledges and fundraise on our behalf. You can join our team ‘The Rock’n Racers for FOM” on Race Roster. You can register through Race Roster: https://raceroster.com/events/2026/111326/2026-royal-victoria-marathon/fundraising-organization/83375?p=3 Several of our bands will be performing on the racecourse on Sunday October 11th (Thanksgiving weekend). For this event we will also be looking for promoters to help get the word out about our charity and help find us sponsors. | Training Details | The volunteer would be responsible for training (physically) for the event. We can provide orientation and answer questions, but this is mostly a self-directed role. |
