Description |
Our board members believe that every organization needs a strong and effective board to fully realize its potential. In addition to the standard responsibilities of a board member, our board members are active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and are fully engaged in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for BBBS to advance its mission. We are looking for mission-aligned individuals with non-profit board experience, business or other leadership experience, a passion for serving youth, strategic thinking, a commitment to DEI, and expertise in one or more of the following areas: • Legal expertise • Government experience • Business experience • Leadership experience • Governance and board leadership • Information technology Please send your cover letter and resume via email to our Executive Director at Amanda.hill@bigbrothersbigsisters.ca indicating why you are an excellent fit and your related experience. |
Training Details | All applications will be reviewed by the Governance Committee members. Candidates who are shortlisted will be invited to complete an interview with committee members and to attend board meetings before being officially nominated for election at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria Capital Region annual general meeting on November 5, 2024. |
