Description | Docents or Front-of-House (FOH) volunteers are our friendly face. They share information in the form of stories and breathe life into the Museum. If you enjoy interacting with the public, meeting new people and sharing information this is a great role for you. While previous naval/military knowledge isn’t essential it is an asset. |
Training Details | - You'll work closely with our staff to become familiar with the museum before beginning solo front-of-house shifts. Preference is for a minimum of 2.5 hours up to 5 hours |
Working Conditions |
As FOH volunteer, you will be expected to… - Greet every visitor - Track daily attendance - Answer questions about local naval and military history - Help direct visitors in how to make research appointments as requested - Help direct visitors in how to donate to the museum - Sit for periods of time with brief periods of walking. |
