Description |
The Township is seeking an Esquimalt youth between the ages of 13 and 18 who lives in or attends school in Esquimalt to serve as a volunteer member of the Environment, Parks, and Recreation Advisory Committee. The purpose of the Environment, Parks, and Recreation Advisory Committee is to assist Council to accomplish its goals and objectives outlined in Council's Priorities. The Committee will: - provide advice and recommendations to Council on any matters referred to the Committee by Council; and - provide input on parks and recreation issues as requested by Staff. Training Details | Committee members receive training at annual orientation sessions and are supported by staff throughout their appointment to the committee. |
Working Conditions |
Meetings are held in Council Chambers at Esquimalt Municipal Hall, 1229 Esquimalt Road. The Committee meets a minimum of four (4) times per year. No meetings will be held during the summer and winter breaks (July, August, and December). Youth members are appointed to one (1) year terms that conclude at the end of the school year. |
