When someone needs a hand, Thrifty Foods and our dedicated team of Sendial volunteers are happy to help. Our volunteers do the order taking and shopping for customers who, because of injury, frailty or other physical reason, can’t easily get to our stores or shop independently.
Description
Love to shop??!! Sendial is a grocery shopping and delivery service program for customers unable to shop in-store. Shopping volunteers select items at a Thrifty Foods store from an Order Form completed by a phoning volunteer.
Training Details
A two-hour general orientation (Zoom) is the first step, followed by in-store training.
Working Conditions
Shopping is done at a Thrifty Foods store. Several volunteers are on duty for each shopping day and are supported by a Volunteer Captain and/or designated employee.
