Formed 7 years ago, the Greater Victoria Folk Festival Society (GVFFS)
produces Folktoria in Centennial Square on the first weekend in June.
Folktoria is now considered an established festival by the City of
Victoria.
Description Invitation for New Folk Festival Society Board Members
Seeking individuals who want an opportunity to share their passion for
and dedication to multiculturalism in Victoria to join us in hosting
multicultural participation during our annual “Folktoria” Festival and
a few other small events.

Being a Board member is a volunteer position involving attendance at
virtual meetings (approx. 1.5 hours) that take place monthly from
September to December, then bi-weekly from January to May, and
volunteering on-site during Folktoria weekend (first weekend in June)
Expertise and interest in project coordination (e.g. for on-site food
trucks), marketing, website design or volunteer coordination are
especially welcome.

Training Details New board members will be provided with mentorship from existing board members, no one is expected to know the ropes off the bat. We are all learning together.
Working Conditions The Board primarily meets on on line platforms (Zoom, Teams) and on the Victoria Centennial Square festival site during the event.

Timing Weekend - Daytime, Weekend - Evening, Anytime
