Description
Support Community Services’ arts and culture exhibitions program in the gallery spaces at Cedar Hill Recreation Centre and Saanich Municipal Hall. Volunteers will help install and take down artwork and displays in collaboration with staff, artists and community groups. This role is ideal for someone who has an arts education (complete or in progress) and may be looking to gain practical experience in the field. Shifts will be primarily on weekdays during the day and may include some weekend or evening events. Shifts will be scheduled as needed by staff. Volunteers can expect an average of 1-5 hours per month. We ask for a minimum commitment of six months.
Training Details
Onsite orientation and ongoing training during staff-supervised installation tasks.
Working Conditions
Indoors. Volunteers will be standing, moving around, lifting and carrying (up to 50lbs), and climbing ladders. Supervised by staff.
