| Description |
As Treasurer, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health of HNCS by overseeing the organization’s finances with a focus on transparency and accountability. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a community-based charity making a real difference in people’s lives, while being supported by a passionate and collaborative team. You’ll be working closely with the Executive Director, Finance Committee, and staff team, all of whom are dedicated to supporting you in the role. We are looking for someone who is committed to our mission and values and has a passion for helping to ensure HNCS’s financial sustainability. This role is a great fit for someone who wants to contribute their skills to a cause that promotes mental health, nature-based healing, and community well-being. |
| Training Details | You would work alongside the Chair of the Board and Executive Director to ensure you are adequately trained for the role. |

| Time Detail | The time commitment for this role is approximately 5-10 hours per month. This includes participation in a yearly one day strategic retreat, quarterly meetings with the Finance Committee and Board of Directors, as well as occasional preparation time for the budget, financial reports, and audit process. We strive for an approachable and manageable commitment, recognizing the value of your time and balancing it with our mission-driven work. |
