| Description |
Our mission at Saanich Neighbourhood Place is to enrich lives through caring programs that connect people to each other and their community. The Good Food Box program is a non-profit fruit and vegetable box program. Anyone in the Victoria area is able to access this fresh produce at an affordable rate. Our volunteer would help us get this food to those who need it. We need a volunteer with a valid license and a reliable vehicle to do a pick up in Fernwood, each Wednesday around noon. And transport to our main location at 3100 Tillicum Rd. Although Olympic level strength is not needed for this position, it can be moderately physically demanding with lifting, bending and carrying required. |
| Training Details | On the job training with our knowledgeable and caring staff. |
| Working Conditions | While there is some interaction with the Fernwood Neighbourhood Group staff and volunteers, as well as the Saanich Neighbourhood Place staff and volunteers, the majority of the position takes place within your own vehicle. |
