Description
Help build a more connected and inclusive Saanich by sharing information about the Community Services Division's funding, supports, and programming at community events and other public spaces. If you're passionate about equity in your community and enjoy talking with people from all walks of life, this role is perfect for you! Ages 19+.
Training Details
In-person group training (anticipated late May 2026) will cover: strategies for effective public outreach and the funding, services, and programs offered by District of Saanich Community Services. Ongoing communication with a supervisor will support your success in this role.
Working Conditions
Mostly outdoors. Volunteers will be sitting or standing for most of the shift. Limited lifting and carrying up to 40lbs possible but not required. Volunteers will work in small groups of 2-3, sometimes directly supervised and sometimes independently.
