| Description |
BOARD MEMBER ROLES AND EXPECTATIONS • A passion for, and commitment to, homes for all and GVS values: 1. Responsible stewardship 2. Relationship focused 3. Active advocacy 4. Community commitment. • Experience in financial management/business in either the for profit, non-profit or government sectors. • A commitment to prepare for, and participate in, monthly virtual board meetings. • A willingness to join the finance committee and deliver on the committee’s mandate through quarterly meetings. • The ability to serve as an active advocate for the Gorge View Society and affordable housing. THE COMMITMENT The initial board terms is up to 3 years, renewable for a second term for a total of 6 years. The board meets 11 times annually, with an in-person annual AGM in June of each year. The total time commitment, with meeting preparation and committee work, is approximately 5 hours per month. |
