Description |
Senior Link is a phone and internet based service. The information you supply to other seniors is publicly available and often comes from our “Blue Book” seniors directory (published every 2 years) or through internet searches and through your familiarity with Seniors’ issues. Computer literacy, an internet connection and good phone and email communication skills are necessary. A Senior Link volunteer will be responsible for one weekday each week. |
Training Details | Training will be done by the Volunteer Manager individually or in small groups supplemented by monthly talks on issues of concern to seniors and by knowledge sharing within our volunteer community |
Working Conditions | This is a home based phone and internet volunteer opportunity. Travel or physical strength are not required. Senior link inquiries by phone are recorded and should be answered that day. Email inquiries should be answered the same day. You are not a “live operator” or “standing by”. |
