| Description |
Programs Volunteers assist staff with the delivery of programs at the Museum. We are seeking volunteers for weekend craft programs. These programs are for adults and include both registered and drop-in activities. Museum staff lead the program, with assistance from volunteers. Programs include Sea Glass Jewelry making, fabric linocut printmaking, collage, watercolour ink painting, and more. Skills & Experience Required: - Experience with or interest in educational craft programs & workshops - Enjoys working with the public - Able to help workshop participants in a friendly & supportive manner - Good level of spoken English - Interest in maritime history or history in general an asset |
| Training Details | All volunteers take online training on general Museum operations. Programs volunteers also receive in-person training on program delivery and set-up for the programs that interest them. |
| Working Conditions | Indoors at the Maritime Museum of BC. Working with members of the public. Programs are led by Museum staff, with volunteers providing important assistance. |

| Time Detail | The Museum is open 7 days a week from 9:30am – 4:30pm. All craft programs run during the weekend in the afternoons. Volunteers are welcome to sign up for the programs which fit their schedule. Shifts are typically 2 – 3 hours long, depending on the program. |
