Position Head Chef - On Call - Lunch Program
Impact Statement TO PROVIDE FOOD SECURITY AND ACCESS TO RESOURCES TO ALL THAT WE WELCOME THROUGH EFFECTIVE COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS.
Description Purpose of Position: To serve as a leader in the kitchen, collaborating with the DLS to plan and prepare the daily meal using products provided.

Population served: Rainbow Kitchen guests and volunteers

Duties and responsibilities:
-Record temperatures EVERY time in the provided time/temp log.
-In charge of ensuring FOODSAFE practices and standards are met at ALL times.
-leads team of volunteers, ensuring that they are involved in the preparation in a meaningful way

Skills/Knowledge Required:

-Ability to work independently without supervision
-Ability to tactfully navigate interpersonal struggles and concerns
-Ability to delegate when necessary
-Good leadership skills

Qualifications

-Foodsafe Level 1 Certificate
-First Aid Certificate an asset
-Must be willing to embrace the Mission Statement

Support
-Works closely with The Distribution and Logistics Supervisor, seeking advice and support when necessary.

Minimum Duration More than 1 year
Timing Weekday - Daytime
Time Detail On Call or Vacation Coverage: Shift would be a day Monday - Friday (no stats) and 8am tilll noon
