| Description |
Purpose of Position: To help sort through daily donations from our weekly donors, rescuing food for our daily meal preparation and our free tables. Schedule: 9am-1pm Population served: Rainbow Kitchen guests and their families. Duties and responsibilities: Help unload the van of boxes of donations Sort through boxes of donations to collect usable produce and other food goods Maintaining Foodsafe and FIFO method practices when loading food goods into the refrigerators Break down cardboard Help to tidy up the back loading zone and walk in fridge when shift is complete Skills/Knowledge Required: Ability to work independently without supervision Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly during a shift Qualifications Must be willing to embrace the Mission Statement Training Provided On the job training Foodsafe |
