Description
The volunteer stage manager (SM) supports the director, runs rehearsals, manages backstage logistics, tracks props/sets, calls cues during shows, and ensures smooth communication between cast and crew, acting as the central organizer for all technical and personnel aspects, often with Assistant Stage Managers (ASMs) helping with documentation, cueing, and stage changes. Key responsibilities include detailed scheduling, creating production notes, managing backstage safety, and being present for all rehearsals and performances, making it a significant, yet rewarding time commitment.
