Impact Statement
The Carr House Community Society operates Carr House National and Provincial Heritage site in order to ensure the house is open to the public and that the space encourages community building and continuation of the main themes of Emily Carr's life including art, creativity and environmentalism. Over 10,000 people visit annually. The gardens are visitors' first impression of Carr House and are in need of constant upkeep. Volunteers help make this a beautiful and memorable setting.
Description
Carr House Garden Volunteers maintain the grounds at Carr House. The role includes trimming and caring for plants, weeding, and other yard work. The gardens will be getting a big overhaul this spring, and so this is the best time to join the team - it is going to be a lot of fun to add new plants to the garden and care for them. Garden volunteer schedules and roles will be determined individually to ensure the tasks and shifts work for individual volunteers. Some work parties will also be organized in March and April.
