The Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival Association is a volunteer-based organization. We are dedicated to working with performing arts educators to develop artistic skills and a love of the performing arts for all ages and skill levels in music, dance and speech arts. Our annual community festival provides reputable professionals who foster inclusion, education and performance opportunity during adjudicated sessions. We celebrate participation, achievement and excellence through a series of special concerts and an awards program. |
| Description |
General Event Volunteers Provide essential support during festival events. Cashiers – Handle ticket sales and financial transactions at festival venues. Adjudicator Secretary - Provides support to the adjudicator during sessions, including transcription and communication with performers and other volunteers. Drivers – Transport adjudicators, performers, and supplies between locations. Ushers – Assist audience members with seating, directions, and accessibility needs. Support Crew – Perform miscellaneous tasks to ensure seamless operations during concerts, workshops, and performances. |
| Training Details | The Volunteer Coordinator is on hand to assist with training. |
| Working Conditions | GVPAF is held each year at various venues throughout Greater Victoria, UVic, Churches, Schools and Halls. Festival happens for 6 weeks April 6th - May 14th 2022. All venues are indoor events and all Covid-19 protocols are in place. |
