| Description |
We’re looking for a reliable volunteer to help support our outdoor Friday night socials this summer (June–August)! Important availability note: We are looking for someone who is available on any Friday between June and August (5:00 PM – 10:30 PM). We will only need you twice per month (biweekly, not back-to-back Fridays), but the exact dates are to be determined. We will confirm dates about a month in advance: • June dates confirmed in May • July dates confirmed in June • August dates confirmed in July It will likely be the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month, but this is not guaranteed as we are coordinating with another organization that also runs Friday dance events. Please only apply if you are available for any Friday, even though you’ll only be scheduled twice per month. |

| Working Conditions |
What we need: Someone with an SUV or a truck with a covered bed (must be able to safely transport equipment) and who is able to lift up to 50 lbs (most items are lighter, but this is the maximum). Schedule details (on event days): • 5:15 PM: Meet in James Bay to load equipment • 5:45 PM: Arrive at Songhees Plaza for quick setup (with volunteer support) • You’re free to leave once setup is done • 9:45 PM: Return to pack up and transport equipment back to James Bay Equipment includes: 2 speakers, 2 speaker stands, a pop-up tent, cooler, barricade, and a few small items — everything fits in an SUV or covered truck bed. |
