Volunteers are the backbone of Vic West Fest! The Victoria West Community Association is a not for profit organization whose mission is to engage residents in community stewardship, to impact decisions that affect the community, to raise awareness, to foster a sense of spirit and pride and to encourage participation in community issues, solutions, projects and events. |
| Description |
Support key feature areas like the Bike Valet, Beer Garden, and both Stages. Roles may include assisting with bike check-in, helping maintain a safe and organized drinks area, or supporting basic stage and AV needs. These positions are great for volunteers who like structured tasks and working as part of a focused team. Please check out the specific requirements for each role before signing up. |
| Training Details | All volunteers are asked to check in at the Volunteer Tent outside the Community Centre at the start of their shift. You’ll receive detailed information about how to prepare for your volunteer role after you sign up online. We’re hosting a one-hour orientation session on May 30 to help you feel prepared and confident in your role, and will share a summary with those who can’t attend. |
| Working Conditions |
Conditions vary by role, check your role description before signing up! All volunteers will receive a break, food & drink, a letter of appreciation, a 10% off coupon to Big Wheel Burger and time to enjoy the festival. Volunteering at VWF means being outside in Banfield Park, rain or shine (barring extreme weather). Please dress appropriately for the weather so you can stay comfortable throughout the day. We recommend layers, a hat, sunglasses and comfortable shoes. Breaks will be held inside with access to food and drinks, and we recommend bringing a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated. |
