| Description |
We are looking for an easy-going volunteer who is interested in building a committed friendship with a woman with a developmental disability in her mid-40s living in Sidney. Some of the activities she would be interested in doing with her network friends include bowling, country music, bingo and card games, walks on the beach, bocce ball, colouring, mini-golf, swimming, and going for hot chocolate. She is a very leisurely-paced person who takes her time during activities. Her availability is on the weekends. This network has its volunteers meet for small group gatherings every second month and volunteers arrange for a one-on-one visit during the other months. |
