| Description |
Nature Victoria is looking for additional members to join its Board of Directors. We are seeking people who have a genuine interest in nature and the natural environment of Greater Victoria and who would like to contribute their experience and skills to our organization. We are particularly interested in people with backgrounds in: • Financial management and accounting • Information technology • Legal and governance matters • Social media, communications and marketing Board members will have an opportunity to contribute to the direction of Nature Victoria and help support its work in protecting and promoting the natural environment in the Greater Victoria area. | Training Details | Prospective board members will discuss the organization with the President and may participate in a board meeting before committing to join the board. New board members can join the board at any time, but will stand for election at following spring Annual General Meeting. Board terms are for 2 years. |
| Working Conditions | The board meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month from Sept. to May with a 1/2 day retreat in the Spring. Meeting last about 2 hours and are held virtually or in person. Board members are encouraged to get involved in various board task such as outreach, social media, advocacy, programming, etc. |
