| Description |
We are looking for a Social Media Coordinator to help manage our day to day social media and share the stories of our Changemakers, campaigns, events and impact. Responsibilities include: • Planning and scheduling Instagram and Facebook content • Turning photos, videos and updates into engaging posts • Writing captions and calls to action • Creating simple Canva graphics and short form videos • Promoting youth projects, grants, campaigns and events • Keeping messaging and branding consistent • Helping identify ways to improve reach and engagement Experience with Canva, Instagram, Facebook or short form video is required, along with creativity, reliability and strong communication skills. |
| Training Details |
The volunteer will receive an orientation to A Million Acts of Love, our Changemaker program, current campaigns, brand and social media channels. We will provide examples of previous content, access to existing Canva templates and guidance on messaging, priorities and upcoming campaigns. Initial support will be provided while the volunteer becomes familiar with the organization, with the goal of allowing the Social Media Coordinator increasing independence and ownership of the role. |
| Working Conditions |
This is a flexible, primarily remote volunteer position. Work can generally be completed on your own schedule, with occasional virtual meetings and opportunities to attend local events if interested. Most communication will take place by email or online messaging. Volunteers will need access to a computer or smartphone and reliable internet. |
