Position: Volunteer Mentor for at-risk children and youth - KidStart
Impact Statement: KidStart mentors are positive role models for at risk children and youth who have experienced early exposure to the justice system through stressful life circumstances. Having a consistent, positive role model to look up to gives youth the opportunity to engage in new learning experiences and opportunities in the community, and protects them from risk factors that could lead to criminality. It's a chance to have fun and participate in activities with a youth and build a lasting relationship that profoundly impacts an at-risk youth!
