| Description |
**We are actively seeking individuals for our evening shifts: 6-9 PM on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, as well as 10 AM-2 PM & 2 PM-6 PM on Saturdays.** Our location is inside Hillside Mall, and we adhere to the mall's operating hours. Opportunities frequently arise due to new vacancies, illnesses, and holiday leave, so we always welcome new applicants! Responsibilities include: • Creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for customers. • Informing customers about Fair Trade, our products, and the producers. • Performing general store upkeep, such as tidying, sweeping, and dusting, as needed. • Restocking shelves. • Handling sales transactions, making change, and managing cash at the cash register. • Processing sales transactions using a debit machine. • Setting prices on merchandise. • Opening and closing the store. • Answering the store phone. |

| Training Details |
Training occurs directly on the job. You will start with an orientation shift, then proceed to shadow a member of our training team for two shifts. After you're comfortable with the basic routines and have completed all elements of our training checklist, you will be paired with more experienced volunteers. Our aim is to ensure that each individual is assigned a regular shift. We have a lovely customer base who are patient and understanding, so it’s a low stress opportunity to learn to work in customer service. |
