Position: Runner/Stocker - NEW MUSTARD SEED MARKET!
Location: 625 Queens Avenue, Victoria, BC, Canada
Impact Statement: The Mustard Seed is a non-profit fighting hunger and restoring "hope, faith and love" to hurting souls in Greater Victoria.
Description: The Mustard Seed Street Church is being transformed into a Market!

The runner/stocker will be responsible for monitoring and replenishing the stock in the Market in a safe manner.

Some ideal qualities for this volunteer position include:
- read English (especially labels/best before dates)
- team player, exercising good judgement
- ability to lift heavy objects
- bending, reaching, squatting
- comfortable being on your feet/mobile
- strong attention to detail (watching for dented cans/open packages as per guidelines, displaying stock in an organized fashion)
- adheres to safety protocols operating procedures
- ability to work under pressure
- organizational and methodical skills
- other duties as required (i.e. cleaning, organizing stock room)
- warehouse experience would be considered an asset
Training Details: Customer service experience would be an asset, but no experience is required. All training will be provided!
Working Conditions: Our Food Bank (soon to be Market) is home to one of the most diverse volunteer teams! We strive to create a fun, engaging environment for all.
Minimum Duration: 3 months or less
Timing: Weekday - Daytime
Time Detail: Typical shifts run from 9:00am-2:00pm, however this shift is flexible according to your availability
Age: 16+
