Impact Statement: Mission Statement: To enhance the experience of live theatre in Victoria.

Intrepid Theatre was founded in 1986 to produce the Victoria Fringe Festival (now in its 33rd year). In 1998, the company launched UNO Fest – a curated festival of one-person theatre held annually in May, now in its 22nd year. This internationally renowned festival is the oldest solo theatre festival in Canada. In 2015, we proudly launched OUTstages, Victoria’s first (and BC's only) queer theatre festival, now in its 5th year. Its combined yearly programming serves an audience of over 30,000 people annually.
Description: Calling all volunteers! The Fringe Festival is a great way to get more involved with the theatre community in Victoria and work with awesome people. There are many different types of jobs that are available for volunteers from helping with running the box office, to assisting with face painting at Fringe Kids. You can sign up for as many shifts that you would like! There are great perks as well. For every shift you work, you get a Fringe Buck which will allow you to see a Fringe show for free! The festival runs from August 21st to September 1st. Volunteer orientation is on August 8th and 9th from 6-8 pm at Intrepid Theatre Club (2-1609 Blanshard St). You only have to attend one of the sessions! Come on down and have fun with us at the 2019 Fringe Festival!
