Impact Statement The James Bay Market is a not for profit organization that has been operating in the James Bay neighborhood for over 20 years. Our community market is a hub of community activity attracting customers from the Greater Victoria area as well as visitors from all over the world. Weekly we feature farm fresh foods, local artisan creations, & local music. We also participate in the Food Voucher program that is a healthy eating initiative that supports farmers’ markets and strengthens food security across British Columbia.
Description We have several Volunteer positions open including Set Up and Tear Down assistant, Coffee and Information Kiosk Attendant and Childrens Tent Assistant. Task descriptions and application can be found on our webpage: https://jamesbaymarket.com/volunteer-james-bay-community-market/
Training Details Training on site, no experience required.
Working Conditions Open air Farmers Market rain or shine. Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds for the set up and tear down positions and have a good understanding of money for the Coffee Kiosk.
Minimum Duration 3 months or less
Timing Weekend - Daytime
Time Detail shifts are 90 minutes to 3 hours
