Join this fun and friendly volunteer group every Tuesday morning from 9-11 and participate in ecosystem restoration. All activities are outdoors, following safety protocols and tools are individually assigned. Ecosystem restoration volunteers remove invasive species, improve trail quality and protect at risk native plants around Swan Lake and Christmas Hill. Please complete a volunteer application form or speak to the program coordinator to sign up. |
| Description |
You will be working outdoors removing invasive plant species and learning about ecosystem restoration at the Nature Sanctuary. We provide: - all tools needed (everyone gets their own set and then returns them at the end of the shift) - work gloves which are returned at end of shift (if you have your own garden gloves please use these) - training on plant identification and how the Nature Sanctuary conserve native species - cookies at the end of the shift to restore your energy You provide: - willing hands and minds to learn more about this important conservation work your own work clothes and closed toe shoes Thanks for supporting the Nature Sanctuary in this vital conservation work. |
