| Description |
We will be removing invasive plants such as English Ivy and English Holly from this beautiful forest. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience doing ecological restoration, learn new skills, and make new friends! Please RSVP on our Meetup page at bit.ly/GVGTapr2 or email Kaitlin@GreenTeamsCanada.ca if you're having trouble signing up FLOW OF THE ACTIVITY • Meet at 9:45am for sign-in & introductions (please be on time) • If you can't find us, please call 778-677-9078 • Receive instruction & demo for the activity • Remove invasive plants • Take break for refreshments half way through • Volunteer until 1 pm then sign-out at end, take home an eco-gift! | Training Details | We will provide all training and tools. No previous experience necessary! |
| Working Conditions | We will be working outdoors, rain or shine and even if it is cold. Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and lots of layers! We recommend long pants/sleeves to protect from thorny plants & insects. Remember to check the weather - bring a hat/sunscreen/rain jacket as needed. Bring your water bottle to stay hydrated (we will have extra water and snacks on site too!) |
