Position: Sub-Committee Team Member - Bowl for Kids' Sake

Impact Statement: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria (BBBSVictoria) is a child and youth mentoring charity. We facilitate life-changing relationships that inspire and empower children and youth to reach their potential, both as individuals and citizens.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is a nationwide fundraising event where co-workers, friends, and family gather together for a game of bowling and raise funds to support Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs.

In conjunction with the fund-development committee, sub-committee team members will assist with the planning and organizing of the 7th Annual Bowl for Kids' Sake event. Additionally, team members will encourage and support participation throughout the region.
Description: Primary Responsibilities

- engage participants and support Bowl for Kids’ Sake planning efforts
- ensure all BBBS contacts are kept confidential
- attend and participate in monthly sub-committee meetings
- be present at the event on April 26th, 27th and 28th, 2019

Training Details: Some experience with event planning would be nice, but if you are organized, like to bring people together, have strong networks in the community and like working with others to support a great cause, then consider volunteering with us.
Working Conditions: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria supports diversity and welcomes applicants of every race, religion, culture, gender and sexual orientation. Minimum Duration: 3 months or less
Timing: Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime
Time Detail: Pre-scheduled monthly meetings for February/March/April 2019 (plus prep work on your own time) as well as event support on April 26 (Friday evening), April 28 and 28 (Saturday and Sunday all day).
