As Canada’s leading child and youth mentoring charity, Big Brothers Big Sisters facilitates life-changing relationships that inspire and empower children and youth to reach their potential, both as individuals and citizens.
Description Game On! is a 10-week group program for boys. The next program will run between January and April 2020 - one two-hour session per week at Lansdowne and/or Cedar Hill Middle Schools - school day to be determined but the group will meet sometime between noon and 3 pm.

We need male-identifying volunteer mentors (aged 15 to 30) to role model and teach healthy masculinity and healthy living. Volunteers will work in a small group and facilitate activities both the boys that focus on healthy relationships, healthy bodies and healthy minds.
Training Details Game On! facilitators will be required to attend a two-hour orientation/child safety training session (multiple dates available) as well as facilitator training session (date to be determined but will set for a day/time that's convenient for you).
Working Conditions There will be three Game On! facilitators working with a small group of boys at each of the schools. The schools are fully accessible.

Timing Weekday - Daytime
Time Detail Weekday and time to be confirmed - but it is expected that Game On! will run one afternoon per week (sometime between noon and 2:50 pm). You'll need to commit to being with the group for 2 hours/week, plus preparation time between October and mid-December 2019. Volunteer orientation and screening also takes several hours and can take several weeks so apply as early as possible
