Position: Event Staff - Monster Mash - Community Halloween Event
Impact Statement: The purpose of the Burnside Gorge Community Association is to lead, promote and support prevention and intervention based initiatives which encourage healthy, inclusive, and socially just living. This is accomplished through:

*Engaging and consulting with our communities concerning issues and developments important to our residents and businesses
*Providing a continuum of high quality programs and supports that strengthen the lives of children, youth and families in Greater Victoria
*Establishing, promoting and operating facilities that provide public amenities to benefit the community
*Cultivating community connections and a sense of community pride through celebrations and initiatives
*Advocating in the best interest of our community and ensuring a representative voice for all of those we serve
*Fostering work place practices that support employees and strengthen our efforts to be a model employer
*Supporting the provision of housing for low and moderate income households
Description: Check in
Responsible for taking admission, check in volunteers, and answer any inquiries people may have.

Spooky Greeters
Directing patrons to the activity centre, welcoming patrons and informing them of what is happening during the Halloween Monster Mash

Snack/refreshment
Monitoring the distribution of snacks and refreshments. Snacks such as granola bars, fruit, juice, etc.

Activity Leaders
The Activity Centre will have several “stations” for families to engage in. Volunteers are need to help run and oversee these activities. Volunteers will be assigned activities prior to the event.

Clean up Crew
Help tidy up and put away supplies
Training Details: Volunteer orientation prior the start of the event.
Working Conditions: Indoors. Loud energetic environment with lots of kids and young families. Fast paced.
Minimum Duration: 3 months or less
Timing: Weekend - Daytime
Time Detail: 2-4 pm
