Position: Oaklands Sunset Market Volunteer - Oaklands Sunset Markets
Location: 2827 Belmont Ave
Impact Statement: During the 2019 market season, there are Markets taking place every Wednesday from July 3- September 4 from 4:30pm - 8:30pm. Each market has a variety of vendors from farmers to artisans, food truck, beer gardens, and live music. We It's a staple of the summer season here in Victoria. We strive to engage with our community and create an accessible gathering space for people to come together and meet local food growers, producers, and businesses. July 24th will be our Kid's Vendor Day this year.

This event is an excellent opportunity to get involved in event planning and community engagement! Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Oaklands Community Association.
Description: There are 5 types of volunteer positions that vary in shift lengths (2-2.5 hrs) and duties:

Set-up Team (2:30pm - 4:30pm)
Beer Pouring (4:15pm - 6:30pm, and 6:30pm - 8:45pm)
Beer Ticket sales ( 4:15pm - 6:30pm, and 6:30pm - 8:45pm)
Market Info Tent (4pm - 6:30pm, and 6:30pm - 9:00pm)
Market Green Team (4:00pm - 6:30pm, 6:30pm - 9:00pm)
Tear Down Team (2:30pm - 4:30pm)

If you would like to volunteer during a set up / take down shift but are not able to lift or bend, we can still use your help! Please let me know how I can accommodate your needs. If you are interested in getting involved as a volunteer, please complete the application form on google docs.
Training Details: We will provide more details closer to the date of the market you have volunteered for!
Working Conditions: The Oaklands Sunset Markets are held outside and subject to a wide range of weather.
Minimum Duration: Special event
Timing: Weekday - Evening
Time Detail: Markets run from 4:30 - 8:30pm. Volunteer shifts are typically 2-2.5hrs long and run between the hours of between 2:30 - 9:00pm.
