Impact Statement
Project Connect is a one-day service and information fair for those experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty. Attendees will receive a prepared lunch and dinner. They will also receive a wide range of free services, including; care packs, foot care, ID replacement, haircuts, hand massage and much more.
Description
Indoor Greeters will be responsible for directing guests to the services provided. They may also be asked to explain which services are being offered and where.
Outdoor Greeters will be remain outside the event and will welcome guests into the event. Will ensure guests know where to store belongings etc.
Volunteers may be asked to cover different positions as the event is dynamic and needs may change on the day of the event.
Training Details
No training required. A brief orientation will be given upon arrival on site.
Working Conditions
Standing for 3+ hours. Greeting clients inside and outside. Please bring layers as it will be cold.
