Position Event planning committee - 2022 IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's
Impact Statement We ensure people affected by dementia are not alone, by educating and mobilizing a broader community of care around them, and supporting valuable research into the disease and people living with it.
Description Join our experienced, dedicated, and well-organized team of volunteer leaders to help plan and deliver the 2022 Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer's. In collaboration with the Walk Chair and the Walk Coordinator, you and other committee members will ensure the successful staging of a Walk for Alzheimer’s in your community. All funds raised at your local Walk help fund research for a cure and directly support programs and services in your community for people affected by dementia and their caregivers.

Committee roles are available at locations across the province. Immediate support is needed in Victoria, Comox, and Oceanside.

Training Details Committee members participate in a one hour training session provided by their local Walk Chair or Event Committee Officer.
Working Conditions Operate from home during the planning phase (January 2022 - May 2022)
In person on Event day, scheduled for May.
Attend virtual committee meetings using Teams.
Minimum Duration 4 - 6 months
Timing Weekend - Evening
Time Detail 10 - 15 hours per month. Attend scheduled committee meetings and accomplish tasks on your own schedule.
