| Description |
We will be removing invasive species and dead wood from Rain Garden Park in Langford to increase the health of the ecosystem and FireSmart the park. FLOW OF THE ACTIVITY • Meet at 9:45am for sign-in & introductions (please be on time) • Receive instruction & demo for the activity • Remove invasive plants • Take break for refreshments half way through • Volunteer until 1:00 pm then sign-out at end, take home an eco-gift! | Working Conditions | We will be working outdoors, rain or shine. Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We recommend long pants/sleeves to protect from thorny plants & insects. Remember to check the weather - bring a hat/sunscreen/rain jacket as needed. Bring your water bottle to stay hydrated |
