| Description |
ElderDog is looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated, committed adults (18+) to support seniors who need help walking their dogs in the Saanich to Sidney area. ElderDog Canada runs 100% on the talent and dedication of volunteers. We support seniors who are living at home and experiencing challenges affecting dog care. Walking dogs is an integral part of ElderDog’s mission to “help keep love in the home”. As the need in your community continues to grow, we need more volunteers to help us provide this essential service. And the need is especially high in East Saanich. |
| Training Details | Soon after you start walking an ElderDog, you’ll realize the difference you’re making in the life of both the dog and their human companion. Not only are you helping to ensure the health and well-being of a cherished pet, for some of our more isolated seniors, seeing you might be the social highlight of their day. Many of our volunteers and seniors even forge very special, long-term friendships! |
