VICTORIA COOL AID SOCIETY At Cool Aid, we believe that everyone deserves home, which is why we create hope and opportunities for people who are homeless and living in poverty. We provide affordable housing, emergency shelters, primary health and dental care, nutritious meals, and wellness programs such as recreation, employment and volunteer opportunities. With your support, our staff and volunteers help more than 12,000 people annually at 20 locations in Victoria, Saanich and Langford. We house and support more people who have been homeless in our community than any other organization. Volunteers run many of our programs here at Rock Bay Landing (RBL). Without their time, our clients would be unable to access computer services, hygiene services, clothing and other donations. The time given to us by our volunteers is immeasurably valuable and we appreciate every moment of it. |
| Description |
We’re looking for people who would like to help us out in our day services area. This would include: Handing out hygiene supplies & towels, signing folks in and out of showers, and organizing clothing donations and assisting clients in the clothing donation room. Applicants must be vaccinated. Thank you for your interest and looking forward to hearing from you! |

| Training Details | Online orientation followed by shadowing an experienced staff or volunteer. |
| Working Conditions | You would be set up behind a donation counter in the Day Services/Hygiene room. No heavy lifting required. Sorting through donations (lifting up to 5 lbs), folding towels and clothing. Signing people in and out of showers. Staff onsite and close for questions and support. |
